Welcome to Kingaroy Presbyterian
There are only two ways to live in this life – with God or without God. We explain the differences and the implications of each view.

About Us
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The best summary of what we believe the Scriptures teach is found in the Westminster Confession of Faith, one of the several great summaries of doctrine that emerged out of the Protestant Reformation in the 16th and 17th centuries.
Key elements in this Confession are the sovereignty of God in creation, providence and redemption, the centrality of the life, death and resurrection of the God-Man Jesus Christ in God’s purposes, and the necessity of the Holy Spirit in the application of all aspects of salvation. It also highlights the nature and purpose of the Church, and the need to acknowledge the Lordship of Christ in every area of life.
OUR MISSION
“Equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up”. (Ephesians 4:12)
HISTORY OF KINGAROY PRESBYTERIAN
South Burnett Presbyterians have worshipped at 48 Alford Street since 1908, making us one of the longest serving continuing Christian communities in the Darling Downs.
The old hall (the original church) sits behind the new church – it is one of the oldest continually used buildings in the South Burnett region.
In recent years, Kingaroy Presbyterian has been served well by a series of Home Missionaries and Pastors, three of whom are still members of the current congregation in Kingaroy. The parish was brought under the Presbytery of Darling Downs in the 1980s and in 2018, the Presbytery focused on Kingaroy revitalisation. This involved several strategies including welcoming the Reverend Andrew Clausen in 2019 and providing three years of revitalisation money in 2019 – 2021. This has culminated in the establishment of the Charge as a calling charge in 2025 and the growing congregation continuing to meet at 48 Alford Street at this time.
